There are no civil ceremonies on weekends or bank holidays. There are also restrictions on wedding venues. It is important to check if your desired venue is approved by the HSE. 2. Choosing a venue

3. Contacting the Registrar 

Once you have your venue and date decided, the next step is contacting the registrar with the intention to marry. The local registrar office is located in Cork City Centre. A full list of registration offices in Ireland can be found on the HSE Civil Ceremonies website. 

It is also important to note that at least THREE MONTHS must be given to the state to cover the legal side of the ceremony.
